On the date of 3rd November 2021, By the request of the APAL’s state committee Bihar(SAMUTHAN), the health department of Bihar conducted the COVID-19 vaccination campaign at Gandhi Gram Ashram Motipur, Bihar, and vaccinated all people affected by leprosy and their families

On behalf of people affected by leprosy, APAL convey our gratitude to the Government of Bihar and the team of the health department for their health care services

APAL started POD PROJECT in Gandhi Gram Leprosy Colony Motipur
On the date of 2nd November 2021, APAL started POD PROJECT in Gandhi Gram Leprosy Colony Motipur which was inaugurated by ACMO DR. SUBHASH Pd. Singh and Dr. Arun Sah.
On the occasion CEO, APAL Mr. Venu Gopal visited from Delhi. He expressed the purpose of the POD PROJECT as careful care for ulcers and by APAL. Mr. Mahmad Abdul Kadir was appointed as a Dresser who has to maintain dressing regularly and take care of ulcers.

Dr. Subhash said that Leprosy is curable and medicine is now available so previous wrong notions should not be believed and sufferers should follow the path of the mainstream of life.
Dr. Arun Sah not only offered medicine and other needful instruments to cure ulcers of People affected by Leprosy from Dr. Arun Sah Foundation but also he came forward among people affected by Leprosy to meet together to eradicate social stigma and confusion. He promised to support the needful requirements.

In association with Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation, APAL’s state committee Andhra Pradesh (SLAP-AP) visited Nirikshna and Bangalow Thota Leprosy Colonies
On the date of 2nd November 2021, In association with Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation, APAL’s state committee Andhra Pradesh (SLAP-AP) visited Nirikshna and Bangalow Thota Leprosy Colonies in East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, and interacted with the colony leaders, youth, and all inmates.
On this occasion, Mr. Gaurab Sen SILF and Mr. Prakash Working President of SLAP- AP and coordinator of Silf attended and discussed with the people affected by leprosy and their families about Livelihood, Education Support.
Mr. Prakash explained to SILF authorities about the current status of the people who are living in the leprosy colonies and the most need for education support for children who are under the shadow of leprosy. Also, conveyed gratitude to SILF for their great intervention and responsibility to people affected by leprosy continuously

APAL started the POD program and continuously provides ulcer care treatment
On the date of 30th October 2021, APAL started the POD program and continuously provides ulcer care treatment to people affected by leprosy who are facing trouble with ulcers and wounds at Pandurang Wadi in Amravati, Maharashtra, and monitored by Mrs. Maya Ranvare Treasurer of APAL

APAL started the POD program at Swadhar Nagar, Shendapark, Kolhapur, Maharashtra
On the date of 30th October 2021, APAL started the POD program at Swadhar Nagar, Shendapark, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, and was inaugurated by the chief guest surgeon Dr. Subhash Athale

In this program, senior social worker Mr. Suresh Shipurkar, Dr. Prakash Patil, Mr. Janswath Dakshta, Samiti President Mr. Dipak Devlapurkar, Dr. Palekar, Mr. Raju Sable have participated and explained the importance of prevention and self-care

APAL and the volunteer of APAL Ms. Rita Hansdah started the COVID-19 Awareness Program
On the date of 29th October 2021, APAL and the volunteer of APAL Ms. Rita Hansdah started the COVID-19 Awareness Program at Saraswati Leprosy Colony, Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha.
The participants are DLO Mr. Mayurbhanj, Dsso Mayurbhanj, Ex-chairman Baripada Municipality, and others. DLO and concerned authorities advised people how to be aware of Covid-19. Also, spreads the message about health care.
