On the 3rd of April in 2024, the Chief Minister Bhiksha Yojana initiative was implemented, prompted by a request from the State Coordinator of APAL, Mr. Someshwar Dubey. The primary objective of this initiative was to furnish essential educational materials to underprivileged children at the Gandhigram Leprosy Ashram. The initiative was spearheaded by Assistant Director Muzaffarpur and his committed team, who equipped 25 children at the ashram with bags, copies, books, and pencil cutters. This step marked a significant stride in enhancing educational opportunities for the children.
The lack of a formal educational institution within the ashram, apart from the Anganwadi, presented challenges to the children’s pursuit of education. In response, the assistant director promised to supply tuition arrangements, underscoring their commitment to overcoming educational barriers within the community.
Furthermore, the support group received a check of ₹10,000, which is a laudable gesture. This exemplifies a collective effort towards elevating the marginalized sections of society. The concerted endeavour not only underscores the importance of accessible education but also showcases the spirit of compassion and solidarity in fostering a brighter future for all.
