On 2nd November 2024, The Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) in Telangana, in collaboration with the Better Life Charitable Trust, recently extended much-needed support to leprosy-affected families in Pasumamula Santosh Nagar Colony. In a compassionate effort to improve the well-being of these individuals, APAL, with the support of the Trust, distributed essential food grains to families struggling with the impact of leprosy. This initiative directly relieved 25 families in the area, ensuring they had access to basic food supplies to help alleviate some of the hardships they faced.

Under the committed leadership of Maniyada Ramesh State Coordinator of APAL, the food grain distribution was organized with care and efficiency. Maniyada Ramesh’s involvement was pivotal in ensuring the families received the aid smoothly and without delay. By addressing the critical needs of these affected families, APAL and Better Life Charitable Trust reinforced their commitment to improving the lives of marginalized communities, offering them dignity, respect, and hope.

APAL expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Better Life Charitable Trust for its essential role in making this event possible. This collaboration exemplifies the impact that coordinated efforts between organizations can have, especially for communities impacted by diseases like leprosy that often lead to social and economic exclusion.
