On the date of 22nd October 2021, Ms. Lalitha Patil a volunteer of APAL provided health care services by health screening tests for people affected by leprosy and their families at Lal Nagar Leprosy Colony in Maharashtra

People affected by leprosy and their families are mostly impacted by the COVID-19. In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) decided to run a project in the 30 leprosy colonies of 6 states, by the volunteers who are active and well-trained youth living in the same leprosy colony. The volunteers are aware people on the precautions of COVID-19 and do the health tests by Oximeter and Temperature gun as like first aid to people affected by leprosy and their families also and refer to the near PHC.
