Ms. Lalitha Patil a volunteer of APAL providing health care services
On the date of 22nd October 2021, Ms. Lalitha Patil a volunteer of APAL provided health care services by health screening tests for people affected by leprosy and their families at Lal Nagar Leprosy Colony in Maharashtra
People affected by leprosy and their families are mostly impacted by the COVID-19. In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) decided to run a project in the 30 leprosy colonies of 6 states, by the volunteers who are active and well-trained youth living in the same leprosy colony. The volunteers are aware people on the precautions of COVID-19 and do the health tests by Oximeter and Temperature gun as like first aid to people affected by leprosy and their families also and refer to the near PHC.
In collaboration with GOONJ, APAL’s state committee Jharkhand distributed ulcer care dressing materials
On the date of 21st October 2021, In collaboration with GOONJ, APAL’s state committee Jharkhand distributed ulcer care dressing materials to 240 people affected by leprosy from 18 leprosy colonies at Jamshedpur, Jharkhand
It was distributed under the supervision of state leader, APAL member Mr. Jainuddin and APAL Board Member Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan.
APAL and as a Chief Guest head of the village Professor Mr. Budyalkar Maharashtra Khusthpidhit Sanghatana and team and inaugurated the Leprosy relevant POD Center
On the date of 20th October 2021, APAL and as a Chief Guest head of the village Professor Mr. Budyalkar Maharashtra Khusthpidhit Sanghatana and his team and inaugurated the Leprosy relevant POD Center (Prevention of Disability) for people affected by Leprosy who are facing trouble with chronicle ulcers or wounds at Antony Nagar Leprosy Colony in Pune, Maharashtra
Due to loss of sensation the People Affected by Leprosy get ulcer wounds in their hands and feet. They require daily dressing of the ulcers to prevent bone infections and amputation of legs and fingers.

On the date of 18th October 2021, Mr. Vijay Kumar volunteer of APAL provided health care services by screening tests to people affected by leprosy and their families at Rahamganj Leprosy Colony in Darbhanga, Bihar
APAL and CEO of APAL Mr. Venu Gopal attended as a Chief Guest and inaugurated the Leprosy relevant POD Center
On the date of 16th October 2021, APAL and CEO of APAL Mr. Venu Gopal attended as a Chief Guest and inaugurated the Leprosy relevant POD Center (Prevention of Disability) for people affected by Leprosy who are facing trouble with chronicle ulcers or wounds at Pandurang Wadi Leprosy Colony, Amaravati, Maharashtra

On the date of 16th October 2021, APAL and APAL’s volunteer Mr. Prasant Virley conducted the COVID-19 awareness program at Aulia Leprosy Colony in Madhya Pradesh under the supervision of ANM Mr. Murari Lal Dubey and Mr. Devesh Madle.
In this Program, Ashakarya KartaMrs. Rachna Kushwah and Ms. Meena Patel, Mr. Raju Rrathod, and Mr. Gopal Shinde participated and explained the precautions of the COVID-19
