On the date of 26^th October 2021, APAL successfully conducted the Inaugural ceremony of POD and the COVID-19 program at Asha Deep Leprosy Colony Bhilai, Durg.

Mr G Venugopal, CEO APAL, Dr. A K SHUKLA DLO, Mr. PRAMIT NAG, ZPC SILF, Mrs. MAJUMDAR, DLC. Dr. Naqvi WHO, Mr. Ghasiram boi APAL leader, and other 15 staffs attend the meeting.

The DLO assured to extend cooperation from the DLO office for monitoring both programs and supply of dressing materials. Mr. Venugopal and Dr. Shukla opened the POD unit.

Mr. Venugopal explained APAL and its activities. Mr. Mohan Chouhan colony leader and Mr. Salman monitor the ceremony and thank all for the support.

On the date of 26^th October 2021, APAL’s volunteer Ms. Maithili Sahoo providing health care services by health screening to people affected by leprosy and their families at Nayabazar Radhakrishna Mandir Leprosy Colony, Rourkela, Odisha

On the date of 26^th October 2021, APAL and volunteer of APAL Mr. Sudhir Kumar conducted the COVID-19 awareness program at Patna district at Khagol in Ramnagar Kust Ashram, Bihar

The program was organized and inaugurated at the hand of PATNA DLO Dr. Kumari Gayatri Singh, Physiotherapist Mrs. Kundan Jha, NLRF Program Manager Mr. S N Tiwari, Indu Kumari, Colony President Ramesh Prasad, APAL BOARD MEMBER KAMALESH CHANDRA LAL were present and expressed views to be aware and must follow all the precaution to save the life from the COVID-19

On the date of 25th October 2021, Mr. Gaurang Nayak Volunteer of APAL provided health care services by health screening tests to people affected by leprosy and their families at Brajrajnagar Leprosy Colony in Jharsuguda, Odisha

On the date of 25^th October 2021, APAL and a volunteer of APAL Ms. Manisha started the COVID-19 awareness program at Saraswati Leprosy Colony in Mansour Madhyapradesh.

The chief guests of this program were NMA Mr. Manoj Pandey NMA Mr. Pawan Dalor and AWW Sasikala Beragi Lepra Society.

On the date of 24^th October 2021, Ms. Padmini Nayak Volunteer of APAL provides health care services by health screening tests to people affected by leprosy and their families at Deogan leprosy Colony in Odisha.

On the date 23rd of October 2021, Mr. Prasant Virley volunteer of APAL provided health care services by health screening tests to people affected by leprosy and their families at Aulia Leprosy Colony in Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh

On the date of 23^rd October 2021, APAL started the COVID-19 awareness program at Purniya Court LEPROSY Colony, Bihar, and was inaugurated by Dr. Sumant Kumar Suman of Leprosy dept Purniya and Dr. Dilip Kumar, Zonal Incharge WHO.

Mr. Bindeshwari Risidev addressed, APAL BOARD MEMBER KAMALESH CHANDRA LAL and thanked all for being good guides for Covid Awareness care and safety.

Mr. Santosh Kumar will work as Volunteer and be well guided by WHO doctor Mr. Dilip Kumar.

On the date 23^rd of October 2021, Ms. Lalbai Solanki Volunteer of APAL started to provide health care services by health screening tests to people affected by leprosy and their families at Harsh Nager Kusht Ashram Sendhwa district, Barwani, Madhya Pradesh

People affected by leprosy and their families are mostly impacted by the COVID-19. In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) decided to run a project in the 30 leprosy colonies of 6 states, by the volunteers who are active and well-trained youth living in the same leprosy colony. The volunteers are aware people on the precautions of COVID-19 and do the health tests by Oximeter and Temperature gun as like first aid to people affected by leprosy and their families also and refer to the near PHC.
