On the date of 9^th December 2021, at The request of APAL’s state committee Telangana (SLAP-TS), the health department of TS organized the COVID-19 vaccination camp at Shanthi Nagar Leprosy Colony in Hyderabad and vaccinated 2nd dose to 150 persons affected by leprosy and their families

On behalf of persons affected by leprosy, APAL conveys gratitude to the Government of Telangana, DPMO Mr. Srinivas Reddy, APMO Mr. Narisimha Reddy, and all staff of Abdullahpetmet PHC

On the date 9^th of December 2022, APAL’s dresser Mr. Motiram shay provided ulcer care services to persons affected by leprosy who are facing trouble with leprosy-related ulcers and wounds by SSOD (Soaking Scrubbing Oiling and Dressing) at Arunodoy Kusht Ashram in Jambodi Indore, Madhya Pradesh

He also taught the importance of self-care for the prevention of disability

On the date of 8^th December 2022, ILEP organized Stakeholders meeting with APAL & SILF at Hotel South Gate, New Delhi by Dr. Aggarwal, Coordinator, ILEP

Mr. Venu Gopal, CEO, APAL, Dr. Vivek Lal Ji, CEO, SILF,Dr. Rasmi Shukla, WHO, and 9 ILEP Agencies Representatives attended the meeting

Dr. Anil Kumar, DDG, CLD addressed and had online discussions.

Specifically had discussions about collaboration activities of ILEP Agencies and APAL& how to strengthen APAL.

The meeting was fruitful for people affected by Leprosy living in colonies and communities.

On the date of 3^rd December 2022, In collaboration with NLEP. Retd. Paramedical Officers Association, APAL, and the state committee Telangana (SLAP-TS) organized Free Health & Eye Camp at Shanthi Nagar Leprosy Colony in Hyderabad, Telangana, and provided health care services to people affected by leprosy and their families

The program was coordinated by Maxi Vision Eye Hospital, Amma Multi Speciality Hospital, PHC Abdullaprumet, and Rishi Prabhakar Vidya Kendra

On this occasion, Mr. Vagavathali Narsappa President of APAL, and Mr. M. Ramesh President of SLAP-TS attended and successfully facilitated the program

On the date of 26^th November 2021, APAL inaugurated the Ulcer care unit and conducted POD Program at Ghorasahan Leprosy Colony in Bihar which was inaugurated by ACMO East Champaran Dr. Salendra Kumar Jha.

Also, he distributed dressing materials and Footwear to persons affected by leprosy and explained the importance of self-care

On the occasion Mr. Suresh Pandit, Md. Jakir Hossain, Mr. Devendra Of the Hospital also participated. Mr. Ramvarai Sah and Mr. Ramesh Prasad from Sam Utthan, Colony Leader Mr. Krishna Yadav were present.

On the date of 23^rd November 2021, APAL’s youth volunteer Ms. Kamla Provided health care services to persons affected by leprosy and their families by health screening tests at Tahirpur Leprosy Colony in Delhi and the monitoring by Mr. Giridhar Lal President of the state committee Delhi

On the date of 23rd November 2021, APAL’s youth volunteer Ms. Samruddi provided health care services to persons affected by leprosy and their family members by health screening tests at Udyamnagar Leprosy Colony in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, and monitoring by Mrs. Maya Ranavare Treasurer of APAL

APAL conducted an interaction meeting and U P State Leaders on 22nd,  November,21 under the chairmanship of Mr. Venu Gopal, CEO, APAL at Hotel ANR, Lucknow, U P. Mrs. Maya Ranvare, Treasurer, APAL and Mr. Dayalu Prasad, State Leader, U P were also joined the meeting. 20 Leaders of different colonies of UP participated in the meeting.

Mr. Dayalu Prasad welcomed all participants.

Mr. Venu Gopal in his address explained in detail the activities of APAL for the social and economical empowerment of people affected by Leprosy living across India in different states. Informed about the achievements of APAL in this direction. Also informed about the poor performance of the U P State committee due to non-cooperation and lack of leadership. He put examples of other states which are achieving benefits of Government Programs like UDID cards, Ayushmann Cards, enhanced pension, housing ownership rights and also the income generation programs, and children’s higher education programs of SILF and stressed the importance of Unity to work together in

U P also. 

The representative leaders of the colonies were informed about the needs and problems. Also expressed their willingness to work together under the umbrella of the APAL State Committee.

Mrs. Maya Ranvare explained in detail how to apply for UDID and Ayushmann Cards. 

Later a proposal was brought by Mr. Venugopal to form and register the state committee which was accepted and the leaders unanimously elected members for the state committee. Mr. Venu Gopal and Mrs. Maya Ranvare assured them about the support of APAL and to visit U P to guide the state committee to work properly for the empowerment of people affected by Leprosy living in U P

The meeting was winded up with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dayalu Prasad, State Leader, U P

On the date of 21st November 2021, APAL organized Women Empowerment Workshop at ANR Hotel in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh for the women of U P Leprosy colonies

Dr.Shalini Saxena, Resource Person has explained in detail about health care and family Maintenance. Sanitation, income generation, and savings, child care, leadership, rights of women, etc

C S Dr.Pd. for persons affected by leprosy who are facing trouble with leprosy-related ulcers and wounds
