APAL conducted successfully the Interaction Meeting SHF with the youth volunteers of the COVID-19 Awareness Program

On the date of 18th August 2021, APAL conducted successfully the Interaction Meeting SHF with the youth volunteers of the COVID-19 Awareness Program

At this meeting on behalf of APAL Mr. Venu Gopal CEO of APAL conveyed gratitude to SHF and the team of SHF Mr. Nanri, Mrs. Kiyomi, and Ms. Makiko for their support of the awareness program on COVID-19 and explained the usage of the program to people affected by leprosy and their families who reside in the leprosy colonies

After their introductions, the volunteers explained their way of work with responsibility, difficulties, and challenges in the fields and conveyed their gratitude to APAL and SHF for the opportunity to serve people affected by leprosy and their families

SHF team appreciated APAL and the youth volunteers of COVID-19 for their tireless efforts by providing health care services to people affected by leprosy and making the awareness program successful

In collaboration with the Government of Bihar and authorities, APAL’s state committee Bihar (SAMUTHAN) distributed MCR footwear, Self-care kits, and disability certificates

On the date of 16th August 2021, In collaboration with the Government of Bihar and authorities, APAL’s state committee Bihar (SAMUTHAN) distributed MCR footwear, Self-care kits, and disability certificates to people affected by leprosy from the hands of the head of the health department f the district and civil surgeon in the DLO office, Mothiari, Bihar, on the occasion of Independence day

On behalf of people affected by leprosy APAL conveying deep gratitude to the health department of Bihar and authorities for their valuable support and the SAMUTHAN team

In collaboration with Gospel for Tribal Social Service Society-Khammam, APAL’s state committee Telangana(SLAP-TS) distributed foodgrains, Masks, and Medicine

On the date of 12th August 2021, In collaboration with Gospel for Tribal Social Service Society-Khammam, APAL’s state committee Telangana(SLAP-TS) distributed foodgrains, Masks, and Medicine to 85 families of people affected by leprosy and their families in the Shanthi Nagar Leprosy Colony at Hyderabad, Telangana, on the presence of Mr.Vidyavathi Vijedhar Reddy Councilor of Peddambarpet

APAL conducted a meeting with Lepra India

On the date of 6th August 2021, APAL conducted a meeting of APAL& Lepra India had discussions to draft an agreement to work in collaboration with APAL state committees of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana

During these discussions, the leaders of the state committees raised requests for education support, House repairs, Toilets, Borewells at least one in each leprosy colony, etc.

At this meeting, the APAL board Mr. Narsappa President of APAL, and Mr. Prakash Board member and in Incharge of Andhra Pradesh &Telangana have participated; from the Lepra India Mrs. Radhika, Mr. Arun, and Mr. Basha have participated; from the state committees Mr. Sayil President of SLAP AP and Mr. Ramesh President of SLAP TS have participated

APAL successfully conducted an Interaction Meeting

On the date of 3rd August 2021, APAL successfully conducted an Interaction Meeting with the state committee Gujarat in Gandhi Leprosy Sangh, Amaravadi; Ahmadabad, the meeting was presided by Mr. Venu Gopal Vice President of APAL

In this meeting the discussion went on well on new rules of the FCRA, Future programs, Formation of the youth, RPWD Act and UDID Cards; Mr. Venu Gopal and Mr. Uday Thakar advisor of APAL explained the all details to the participants

In this meeting Mr. Venu Gopal, Mr. Uday Thakar, Mr. Narsimhulu President of the state committee, Mr. Kwaja Hussan Secretary, Mr. Vijay Kumar Joint Secretary, Mr. Vishnu, Miss. Mehrunnisha, Miss. Suman and others have participated

APAL’s volunteer Mrs Lalitha Patil providing health care services

On the date of 23rd December 2021, APAL’s volunteer Mrs Lalitha Patil provided health care services to persons affected by leprosy and their families through health screening tests at Lalnagar Leprosy Colony & Ambewadi Leprosy Colony Miraj, Maharashtra

Associated with Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation (SILF) APAL state committee Chhattishgarh visited leprosy colonies

On the date of 18th November 2021, Associated with Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation (SILF) APAL state committee Chhattishgarh visited leprosy colonies and interacted with colony leaders and persons affected by leprosy and their families

On this occasion, Mr. Gaurab Sen, Mr. Pranit, and Mr. Ghasiram Bhoi interacted with all the inmates and discussed their livelihood, employment, and children’s education.

Mr. Mohan Bhai Chauhan from Durg, Mr. Makhan Navrang from Raipur, Mr. Ashok Das Manikpuri Mr. Jaypal Satnami from Ganga Leprosy Colony, Surti Meshram, and residents of the colony were present.

APAL associated with Youth with Mission distributed foodgrains

On the date of 16th August APAL associated with Youth with Mission distributed food grains to the people affected by leprosy in the Indore Leprosy Colony at Madhya Pradesh

Introduction: Persons affected are facing difficulty obtaining basic goods, especially food, clean water, and soap, masks which are critical to fighting COVID-19 infection. Lost livelihoods and travel restrictions have made it difficult to obtain food for many persons affected, and many communities of persons affected have not had access to clean water. The Government and local NGOs are supported by some food grains, soaps, and masks to the people affected by leprosy those who are residing in the leprosy colonies.

In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) associated with Youth Mission distributed food grains to 175 families of people affected by leprosy in Ujjain Leprosy Colony at Madhya Pradesh.

All beneficiaries are conveyed their gratitude to the APAL and the Youth Mission and the state leader Mr. Sarang for their support even in this terrible COVID-19 crisis.

APAL associated with Local individuals distributed glasses and plates

On the date of 12th August APAL associated with Local individuals distributed glasses and plates to the people affected by leprosy in the MOWA leprosy colony, Chhattisgarh.

Introduction: Persons affected are facing difficulty obtaining basic goods,

especially food, clean water, and soap, masks which are critical to fighting COVID-19 infection. Lost livelihoods and travel restrictions have made it difficult to obtain food for many persons affected, and many communities of persons affected have not had access to clean water. In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) associated with Local donor Mr. Nathani Ji distributed steel glasses and plates to 240 families of people affected by leprosy in the MOWA leprosy colony at the state of Chhattisgarh.

All beneficiaries are conveyed their gratitude to the APAL and the Local donor Mr. Nathani Ji and the state leader Mr. Ghasiram for their support even in this terrible COVID-19 crisis.

APAL associated with SILF and SAMUTHAN supported financially by given 5000 rupees to each family and distributed house protection plastic cover in Bihar

On the date of 1st August APAL associated with SILF and SAMUTHAN supported financially by given 5000 rupees to each family and distributed house protection plastic cover in Bihar.

Introduction: Persons affected by Leprosy were facing difficulty obtaining basic goods, especially food due to the heavy flood in Bihar. Flood water came into their middle of houses. Luckily no human loss in the colony but their normal life is disrupted.  The communication links and infrastructure such as power connections roads are damaged and disrupted and earning activities come to a standstill.

In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) associated with SILF and SAMUTHAN supported financially by given 5000 rupees to 247 families of people affected by leprosy from 7 leprosy colonies in Bihar and also distributed house protection plastic cover to 90 families of people affected by leprosy in Bihar. The financial support and house protection plastic cover sponsored by Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation.

The beneficiaries are conveyed their gratitude to APAL, SILF, and SAMUTHAN for supported financially in the terrible COVID-19crisis time.
