In this awareness Program, Mrs. Maya Ranavare President of APAL,, Dr. Deepak, Resource Person, and Mr. Rawal Principal of the School explained the disease of leprosy and the consequences physically and socially 80 students actively participated, and distributed notebooks and bookmarks.

In this awareness Program, Mrs. Maya Ranavare President of APAL, Mrs. Kurandwadi Leprosy Technician, and Mr. Jugmohan Bhurlee Social worker explained the disease of leprosy and related issues physical and social.
Mrs. Nalini Principal of the school, Teachers Mr. Sanjay Patil, Mrs. Shuhnangi Gurav, Mrs. Jayashree Awale, and Mrs. Rupali Lade taught the importance of awareness of the disease of leprosy and related treatment
250 students participated and gave feedback that was “well explained in local language and understood all given information”.

Clinic Instructors Mrs. Sneha Latha Reddy, Mr. Sachin Sakate, Mr. Gaurav Awate, and Mrs. Swathi Kurane taught students the importance of awareness of the diseases and useful to all lives
105 Nursing Students actively participated and gave their feedback that “thanks for the awareness and we got knowledge on leprosy and got answers all questions which are inside us”.

85 students actively participated in the awareness program and gave their feedback that “We all gained knowledge from this lecture all doubts are cleared; given information about leprosy and all posters, the bookmark was good”.

120 students from MSc, PBBSc, GNM, and BSc have actively participated and given their feedback that “Previously we knew about the disease of leprosy but after the lecture cleared all doubts and myths”.

In this program, Guest lecturer Dr. Deepak Mrs. Maya Ranavare President APAL, Mr. Prashant explained leprosy and related consequences. Mr. Dipak Bhosale Principal of the College and Mr. Rundive professor of the college explained to the students the importance of awareness of the disease of leprosy and 110 students participated.

On 11th March 2023, APAL’s Joint- Secretary Mr. Ramavarai Sah was honoured as a Special International Guest at the grand celebration of “the 25th International Day of Dignity and Respect organized by IDEA Nepal and Nepal Leprosy Network
Over the arms of a Parliament Member of Nepal, Mr. Badri Pandey, Mr. Ramvarai got a dignity award and appreciation certificate for his unprecedented efforts in the elimination and eradication of Leprosy and its consequences in India through APAL.
APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with Mr. Ashish Shukla Manager (Communication) DPI, State Committee Maharashtra and Mr. Jitendra Maharashtra Kusht Nivaran Sanghatana visited Pune Leprosy Colony
On 9th March 2023, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with Mr. Ashish Shukla Manager (Communication) DPI, State Committee Maharashtra and Mr. Jitendra Maharashtra Kusht Nivaran Sanghatana visited Pune Leprosy Colony, Anandvan Leprosy Colony, and Pimpri Chinchwad Leprosy Colony
During this visit interacted with all inmates and colony leaders and discussed the infrastructure of the colony and gender equality and women empowerment.
APAL’s state committee Telangana along with the colony leaders and inmates of Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony met Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy Municipal Commissioner
On 9th March 2023, APAL’s state committee Telangana along with the colony leaders and inmates of Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony met Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy Municipal Commissioner of Peddambarpet in Hyderabad and submitted a memorandum for the water pipelines and cancellation of water bills
APAL is thankful to Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy for his positive response and assured us to do the needful and that he will visit the colony very soon.
