APAL’s Vice President Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan met the “Udayan” institution
On 28th July 2022, APAL’s Vice President Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan met the “Udayan” institution of Calcutta and requested them to provide educational support to children affected by leprosy and children of persons affected by leprosy who are overstudied 10th and 12th classes and residing in the leprosy colonies in Jamshedpur and got approval.
The “Udayan assured to give educational support freely to G. N. M. (3 yrs), Lab. For Technician (3 yrs), and Hotel Management and 17 children have applied for free training
On behalf of persons affected by leprosy, APAL is thankful to Udayan for their educational support to children living under the shadow of leprosy and special thanks to Mr. Jawahar Paswan for his active contribution in the leprosy fields

In collaboration with Maharashtra Costa Pidit Sanghatna, APAL and the President of the APAL Mrs. Maya Ranavare visited Jeevan Vikas Leprosy Colony
On 27th July 2022, In collaboration with Maharashtra Costa Pidit Sanghatna, APAL and the President of the APAL Mrs. Maya Ranavare visited Jeevan Vikas Leprosy Colony at Solapur, Maharashtra and interacted with persons affected by leprosy, youth living in the leprosy colony; explained to them the scheme of Housing Yojna and discussed the issues of the colony infrastructure

APAL’s Executive Member Mrs. Keroline visited Chapa Hospital of TLM
On 26th July 2022, APAL’s Executive Member Mrs. Keroline visited Chapa Hospital of TLM and met Dr. Jyoti Prakash and Mr. Goswamy in their office; discussed the need for MCR Footwear and Medical Certificate of deformity and got a positive response and comfortable hospitality

APAL’s Executive Member Mr Govind Swamy visited Amar Jyoti Leprosy Colony
On 22nd July 2022, APAL’s Executive Member Mr Govind Swamy visited Amar Jyoti Leprosy Colony and BMKA Ashram in Bahadurgarh, Haryana and interacted with colony leaders and all inmates; explained the importance and measures of Unique Disability ID Cards (UDID) and railway concession facility for persons affected by leprosy with escort and also applied by filling the application in the spot

On 18th July 2022, In collaboration with Samparpan Foundation Trust, APAL’state committee Haryana conducted a health camp at Gandhi Kusht Ashram in Rohtak, Haryana

On 16th July 2022, In collaboration with Sasakawa India Leprosy Foundation, APAL and Mrs. Maya Ranavare President o APAL visited Valmiki Nagar Leprosy Colony in Nasik, Maharashtra, and interacted with the colony leaders, youth, and all inmates; discuss livelihood program

APAL’s state committee Gujarat collaborated with sports knowledgeable volunteer Mr. Rahul and had a meeting
On 15th July 2022, APAL’s state committee Gujarat collaborated with sports knowledgeable volunteer Mr. Rahul and had a meeting at Gandhi Kusht Ashram in Ahmedabad; gave information about sports to young girls living under the shadow of leprosy and residing in the leprosy colonies and explained the importance to them; Mr. Rahul told them that sports will give job opportunities also gave tips to the young girl by playing volleyball, kabaddi and etc.

In collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, APAL’s state committee UP distributed tricycles
On 15th July 2022, In collaboration with the Government of Uttar Pradesh, APAL’s state committee UP distributed tricycles to persons affected by leprosy and persons with disability at Chakia-Tehsil, District-Chandauli, Uttar Pradesh.

On 15th July 2022, In collaboration with local donors, APAL’s state committee Tamil Nadu distributed foodgrains, cosmetics and dressing materials to 70 families of persons affected by leprosy and their families at leprosy colonies in Ullunderpet and Kallakurichi, Tamil Nadu

On 14th July 2022, APAL’s state committee Andhra Pradesh and Mr. Prakash W. President of the state committee (SLAP-AP) along with the colony leaders met the Government authority Mr. S. Chinnappa Naidu MLA Bobbili in his office and submitted a memorandum for house registrations, and permissions for the bore wells in the agriculture fields in the Prema Nagar Leprosy Colony
