APAL collaborated with DLO and local PHC Medical Officers to distribute MCR Footwear and Medicine

On 4th October 2022, APAL collaborated with DLO and local PHC Medical Officers to distribute MCR Footwear and Medicine to persons affected by leprosy at Rohtak Gandhi Kusht Ashram in Rohtak, Haryana on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi

In this program, Dr. Soni, Dr. Rinku, Ms. Pooja, and Mr. Govind Swami have contributed and APAL is thankful to all great personalities for their valuable support

On 20 September 2022, In collaboration with Haryana Kusht Maha Sangh, APAL’s state committee in Haryana conducted a meeting at Pashupati Kusht Ashram in Ambala, Haryana
In this meeting, Social Worker Mr. Vivek Chowdary participated and discussed the current issues in leprosy colonies. Persons affected by leprosy were attended from 13 leprosy colonies

With the efforts of the APAL’s Executive Member Mrs. Keroline Bhengra and the APAL’s state committee Chhattisgarh by a submitted memorandum for the CC road

On 20 September 2022, With the efforts of the APAL’s Executive Member Mrs. Keroline Bhengra and the APAL’s state committee Chhattisgarh by a submitted memorandum for the CC road, the State Government of Chhattisgarh sanctioned and constructed 1.5 km CC Road and lacks worthy at Ghoghranala Leprosy Colony, Chhattisgarh and it’s very useful and valuable to the persons affected by leprosy and their families residing in that colony

In collaboration with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute of Persons with Physical Disabilities, APAL’s state committee distributed tricycles, Wheel Chairs, Crutches, and Mobile Phones

On 19th September 2022, In collaboration with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya National Institute of Persons with Physical Disabilities, APAL’s state committee distributed tricycles, Wheel Chairs, Crutches, and Mobile Phones to 45 persons affected by leprosy at Mansa Singh Gate Kusht Colony and BMP Kusht Colony in Bokaro, Jharkhand

Delhi State Health Mission and NLEP meeting was organised

On 18th September 2022, On 15th, September,22 a meeting of Delhi State Health Mission and NLEP meeting was organised at Vikas Bhawan, New Delhi

Mr Venugopal, CEO, APAL and Mr Giridhari Lal, President, Delhi State Committee attended the meeting.

Issues of our people MCR Footwears, Supply of regular ulcer dressing materials raised by Mr Venu Gopal.

Mr Giridhari Lal raised Leprosy pension. Secretary of Health and Family Welfare and Deputy Director, DSW assured to take action.

APAL’s Executive Member Mrs Keroline Bhengra visited TLM’s Chhattisgarh Vocational Training Center

On 17th September 2022, APAL’s Executive Member Mrs Keroline Bhengra visited TLM’s Chhattisgarh Vocational Training Center at Champa and interacted with the principal and staff

During the visit she observed, asked and found out the types of trades, Infrastructure of the centre, ways of teaching, facilities of accommodation, and sources of placement in the industries and realized that the centre is comfortable and worthwhile

In collaboration with Samarpan Leprosy Foundation Trust in Delhi, APAL’s state committee, Haryana conducted Health Camp

On 16th September 2022, In collaboration with Samarpan Leprosy Foundation Trust in Delhi, APAL’s state committee, Haryana conducted Health Camp and provided ulcer care treatment and supported medicine to persons affected by leprosy and their family members at Sonepat Kusht Ashram in Sonepat, Haryana

In this camp, Dr. Ravi, Dr. Santosh Rani, Dr. Ashok and Dr. Navin have participated and contributed to the health camp APAL is thankful to Samarpan Leprosy Foundation Trust for their valuable services to persons affected by leprosy and special thanks to Mr. Govind Swamy Executive Member of APAL for his tireless contributions to the leprosy community

APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare participated at the NNN Conference

On 13th September 2022, APAL’s President Mrs Maya Ranavare a woman affected by leprosy overcame that despair and dedicated her life to welfare. Socioeconomic empowerment of people affected by leprosy and their family members has participated in the NNN (Neglected Tropical Diseases Non-Government Organisation Network ) in Katmandu, Nepal. Also, she met and interacted with the authorities of ILEP Agencies and Leprosy Champions who are fighting against the leprosy stigma and Discrimination
