On 26th December 2022, At the efforts of APAL and APAL’s state committee Odisha, submitted a memorandum to the District Social Security Officer, Khordha for the new single-storied house for 120 families of persons affected by leprosy at Rama Krishna Leprosy Colony and the Government of Odisha sanctioned and constructing the houses
APAL is thankful to the Government of Odisha for the same services to all leprosy colonies overall Odisha and special thanks to Mr. Prabhakar Sahoo Executive Member of APAL and Mr. Umesh Naik President of the State Committee Odisha for their active contributions to the Leprosy community

On 13th December 2022, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the APAL’s state committee Maharashtra and Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana met the DMO and DLO of Solapur in their offices
On this occasion, they discussed the current situation and future activities for permanent solutions to the empowerment of persons affected by leprosy and their family members

On 24th December 2022, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with Maharashtra Kushti Pidit Sanghatna met Mr. Sunil Pawar Commissioner of Sangli corporation in his office and submitted a memorandum for special allowance for persons affected by leprosy who are struggling with dressing materials and supporting medicine

APAL’s Vice President Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan along with the state committee and people affected by leprosy from BMP Leprosy met the D.O and D.C of Dhanbad
On 12th December 2022, On 9th December 2022, APAL’s Vice President Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan along with the state committee and people affected by leprosy from BMP Leprosy met the D.O and D.C of Dhanbad and submitted a memorandum for the land issue and got a positive response with a permanent solution
On the 7th and 9th of, December railway department sent notice to BMP Leprosy Colony to vacant that place immediately. For this issue, APAL took responsibility and approached D.O and D.C in their office and submitted a related memorandum, and negotiated.
They said that a tender has been floated for getting a boundary wall of that leprosy colony done in the land given for leprosy patients. given, any action can be taken by the railways only after the boundary.
Further, we need to make PM housing for leprosy patients within the said boundary and with the help of Apal, from 2013 till date, applications have been given thrice to the Chief Minister by the State Committee.
The people of that colony, trusting the State Committee and APAL, have applied for further cooperation through Apal India. people are satisfied with the work done so far by Apal India and the State Committee

On 10th December 2022, APAL’s Executive Member Mrs. Keroline along with AASHA workers visited Ghoshnanala ward no 13 Leprosy colony in Champa, Chhattisgarh
On this visit, interacted with colony leaders and persons affected by Leprosy who reside in the Leprosy colony; discussed the status of social entitlements and treatment

On 10th December 2022, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the state committee visited Chuna Bhatti Leprosy Colony in Mumbai and interacted with persons affected by leprosy and their families
On this visit, they discussed the Aawas Yojana Scheme, the status of ulcer care treatment, the need for education support for children, the infrastructure of the colony, and social entitlements. She finds out many persons affected by leprosy haven’t gotten a disability pension

On 8th December 2022, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the state committee and Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana visited Anandavan Leprosy Colony in Dapodi, Pune, and interacted with persons affected by leprosy and their families
