APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the APAL’s state committee Maharashtra and Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana met the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation
On 17th February 2023, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the APAL’s state committee Maharashtra and Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana met the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Pimpri Chinchwad in his office and submitted a memorandum
At this meeting, APAL requested the rehabilitation of persons affected by leprosy and their families at Niradhar Nagar Leprosy Colony because they have the deficient economic status cause of disease of leprosy, related deformity, related discrimination and lack of opportunities for employment and self-employment and live in the poor conditions
APAL is thankful to the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Pimpri Chinchwad for his positive response and respectful hospitality, and special thanks to APAL’s state committee Maharashtra and Mr. Jitendra Chouhan Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana for their active contribution in the matter of memorandum submission

At the request of APAL’s state committee Madhya Pradesh (SKNS), Amaltas Hospital, Dewas started to provide free leprosy treatment
On 17th February 2023, at the request of APAL’s state committee Madhya Pradesh (SKNS), Amaltas Hospital, Dewas started to provide free leprosy treatment to persons affected by leprosy along with shelter.
Amaltas Group started a hostel for deaf and mute children with special needs
Dr. Sharadchandra Wankhede, Dean of Medical College, State President of Joint Leprosy Prevention Association and as the Chief Guest at the inauguration of this, Mr. Sarang Gayadhane Secretary of APAL, Medical Superintendent of Amaltas Hospital, Dr. Prashant, Doctor of Skin Department have participated.
Amaltas Group provided food and accommodation also along with free medical treatment.
APAL is thankful to Amaltas Group for their valuable and useful services to persons affected by leprosy and persons with disability and special thanks to Mr. Sarang Gayadhane for his active contribution

Mrs. Maya Ranavare got the award for her tireless valuable and dedicated services to people affected by leprosy and their families who resided in the leprosy colonies for 21 years from Mr. Chandrakant Dada Patil Guardian Minister ..Minister of Higher and Technical Education Maharashtra State, on 16th February 2023 at Ramakrishna More Auditorium, Chinchwad
On this occasion, she conveys her gratitude to all supporters, well-wishers, and respected Mr. MP Srirang Appa Barane for identification and felicitation; the identification is surely useful to female leaders and also serves as a role model, this will raise educational and career aspirations for girls and their parents even in the mainstream society
In collaboration with Amaltas Medical Hospital Dewas, APAL’s state committee in Madhya Pradesh conducted a health camp at Sai Ram Avatar Kushtha Ashram
On 13th February 2023, In collaboration with Amaltas Medical Hospital Dewas, APAL’s state committee in Madhya Pradesh conducted a health camp at Sai Ram Avatar Kushtha Ashram Banganga Indore, Madhya Pradesh
In this camp, provided Dressing Materials and supporting medicines to persons affected by leprosy, and admitted some patients to the hospitals for special care and treatment

On 13th February 2023, On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s Death Anniversary, APAL and the Health Department of the Telangana Government conducted an Awareness Program at BB Nagar, Hyderabad, Telangana
In this program, Mr. M. Ramesh APAL’s State Coordinator, District Leprosy Officer, Medical Officers, PHC staff, and AASHA workers have participated and distributed Fruits, Blankets, and MCR Footwear to persons affected by Leprosy

On 9th February 2023, with the support of DPI and SHF, APAL organized a Leprosy Awareness Workshop on the Rights of Persons Affected by Leprosy – which included a social media campaign, awareness camps, and capacity building on RPwD Act 2016 at Hotel Kinara Grand, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad in Telangana
In this workshop, Mr. Pankaj Sinha explained to the participants the need for knowledge on the rights of persons affected by leprosy. He must change the way of approaches related authorities.

On 31st January 2023, APAL’s state committee invited B Sc 3rd year students of UN Mehta’s College to Gandhi Leprosy Seva Sangh at Amaraiwadi in Ahmedabad and aware them of the disease of leprosy and related consequences
During this visit, Mr. Vijay Kumar Secretary of the State Committee took the visitors door to door and explained the poor living conditions of persons affected by leprosy, and status of treatment, and the need for social protection and social security
