On 15th December 2024, The State Committee of APAL in Madhya Pradesh recently engaged in a coordination meeting related to leprosy programs and the welfare of individuals affected by the disease. This important event convened key stakeholders, including Dr. Senthilnathan, Deputy Director General (Leprosy) of the Government of India; the Chief Officer of the Leprosy Division; District Leprosy Officers from the Indore Division; as well as representatives from the World Health Organization (WHO), German Leprosy and Tuberculosis Relief Association (GLRA), and LEPRA. The meeting emphasized collaborative initiatives and strategic methodologies to enhance the quality of life for individuals impacted by leprosy.

APAL was represented by its Secretary, Sarang Gaydhane, and dedicated members Raju Rathore, Gopal Shinde, and Sarita Dhundh. Their involvement underscored APAL’s commitment to addressing the needs of communities affected by leprosy in Madhya Pradesh. The discussions aimed to fortify ongoing programs, ensure the effective implementation of welfare schemes, and advocate for the rights and societal integration of individuals affected by leprosy.
