On 3rd December 2024, on the occasion of World Disability Day, APAL and APAL’s State commity in Telangana, in collaboration with representatives of the Leprosy Society distributed MCR (Micro Cellular Rubber) footwear free of cost to individuals affected by leprosy in Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony, Rangareddy District.

The distribution was conducted in the presence of Dr. Paparao, the District Leprosy Officer (DLO). Other participants included Sulochana, Paramedical Officer (PMO); Yadagiri, Laboratory Technician (LT); Baburao from the Leprosy Society (Physiotherapist); and V. Shantiraju, Deputy Paramedical Officer (DPMO).

The event was also contributed by Maniyada Ramesh, the State Coordinator of APAL, as well as colony elders Pullayya, Pentayya, Aziz, Prameela, and other residents of the colony.
