On September 13th, 2024, the State Committee of APAL in Telangana, in conjunction with the Share Vision organization, orchestrated a notable occasion to provide aid to families impacted by leprosy. Necessities were allocated to 100 disadvantaged families residing in three leprosy colonies: Premasamajam, Dr. Hanson Colony, and Immanial Three Leprosy Colony. This endeavour, spearheaded by Director Mr. Narayana Rao and Chief Secretary Mr. Paul, offered vital assistance to those in need, bringing optimism and respite to the recipients.
The distribution event was honoured by the presence of various esteemed guests, including ZPTC school HM Mrs. Sivakumari, Panchayat Secretary Mr. Krishna, and former Sarpanch Dandi Suresh. They, alongside APAL’s State Coordinator in Telangana, Mr. Ramesh, disbursed the essential provisions. Their attendance and involvement lent significance to the event, reaffirming the importance of community engagement in supporting the underprivileged segments of society.
The inhabitants of the colonies conveyed deep appreciation to the Share Vision organization for their benevolence. The elders of the colonies, in particular, extended gratitude to the organization’s representatives and Mr. Ramesh for their enduring support, which has played a pivotal role in ameliorating their living conditions. This initiative not only furnished material assistance but also fortified the bond of empathy and concern for the leprosy-affected community.
