On 28th March 2023, APAL supported with Sasakawa Health Foundation in association with Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) and the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) conducted an awareness program on leprosy at Nachane Vidhyalya in Ratnagiri, Maharashtra

The continued delays in detecting new patients and persisting discrimination against people affected by leprosy and lack of awareness of the transmission of leprosy, the reveal of the reality and myths of the disease of leprosy, APAL conducting awareness programs in Schools and Colleges

In this awareness Program, Mrs. Maya Ranavare President of APAL,, Dr. Deepak, Resource Person, and Mr. Rawal Principal of the School explained the disease of leprosy and the consequences physically and socially 80 students actively participated, and distributed notebooks and bookmarks.
