On the date of 16th October 2021, APAL and CEO of APAL Mr. Venu Gopal attended as a Chief Guest and inaugurated the Leprosy relevant POD Center (Prevention of Disability) for people affected by Leprosy who are facing trouble with chronicle ulcers or wounds at Pandurang Wadi Leprosy Colony, Amaravati, Maharashtra
Due to loss of sensation the People Affected by Leprosy get ulcer wounds in their hands and feet. They require daily dressing of the ulcers to prevent bone infections and amputation of legs and fingers.
Mrs. Maya, Treasurer, APAL, Mr. Firgane, Mr. Rasul Mulla, and Mr. Shefi Sheik State Leaders of Maharashtra also attended the ceremony
