APAL and APAL’s volunteer Mr. Vijay Kumar conducted successfully the COVID-19 awareness program

On the date 6th October 2021, APAL and APAL’s volunteer Mr. Vijay Kumar conducted successfully the COVID-19 awareness program in Rahamgang Leprosy Colony at Darbhanga, Bihar

ACMO Dr. Sudhansu Shekhar Jha inaugurated the program and explained the precautions, taking the vaccine, handwashing, masking social distance, not going out unnecessary, etc

Also, he was guided on to the use of an Oximeter, a Temperature gun

On this occasion, Ward representative Mr. Santosh Kumar Mahato, from Leprosy dept. Mr. Pawan Kumar Yadav, Mr. Vibhu Bhusan, Mr. Vinay Kumar Dev, Mr. Nisar Ahmad, etc. were present and expressed the good work of APAL

The program was presided by APAL BOARD MEMBER Mr. Kamalesh Chandra Lal

People affected by leprosy and their families are mostly impacted by the COVID-19. In response to this upheaval, the Association of People Affected by Leprosy (APAL) decided to run a project in the 30 leprosy colonies of 6 states, by the volunteers who are active and well-trained youth living in the same leprosy colony. The volunteers are aware people on the precautions of COVID-19 and do the health tests by Oximeter and Temperature gun as like first aid to people affected by leprosy and their families also and refer to the near PHC.
