On the date of 15th December 2021, In collaboration with the Government of Telangana and LEPRA Society, APAL’s state committee (SLAP-TS) distributed Micro Cellular Rubber (MCR) footwear to 65 persons affected by leprosy at Shanthi Nagar and Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony in Hyderabad, Telangana
Due to loss of sensation the People Affected by Leprosy get ulcer wounds in their hands and feet. They require MCR footwear to walk comfortably and to prevent bone infections and amputation of legs and fingers.
