APAL conducted an interaction meeting

APAL conducted an interaction meeting and U P State Leaders on 22nd,  November,21 under the chairmanship of Mr. Venu Gopal, CEO, APAL at Hotel ANR, Lucknow, U P. Mrs. Maya Ranvare, Treasurer, APAL and Mr. Dayalu Prasad, State Leader, U P were also joined the meeting. 20 Leaders of different colonies of UP participated in the meeting.

Mr. Dayalu Prasad welcomed all participants.

Mr. Venu Gopal in his address explained in detail the activities of APAL for the social and economical empowerment of people affected by Leprosy living across India in different states. Informed about the achievements of APAL in this direction. Also informed about the poor performance of the U P State committee due to non-cooperation and lack of leadership. He put examples of other states which are achieving benefits of Government Programs like UDID cards, Ayushmann Cards, enhanced pension, housing ownership rights and also the income generation programs, and children’s higher education programs of SILF and stressed the importance of Unity to work together in

U P also. 

The representative leaders of the colonies were informed about the needs and problems. Also expressed their willingness to work together under the umbrella of the APAL State Committee.

Mrs. Maya Ranvare explained in detail how to apply for UDID and Ayushmann Cards. 

Later a proposal was brought by Mr. Venugopal to form and register the state committee which was accepted and the leaders unanimously elected members for the state committee. Mr. Venu Gopal and Mrs. Maya Ranvare assured them about the support of APAL and to visit U P to guide the state committee to work properly for the empowerment of people affected by Leprosy living in U P

The meeting was winded up with a vote of thanks by Mr. Dayalu Prasad, State Leader, U P

APAL organized Women Empowerment Workshop

On the date of 21st November 2021, APAL organized Women Empowerment Workshop at ANR Hotel in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh for the women of U P Leprosy colonies

Dr.Shalini Saxena, Resource Person has explained in detail about health care and family Maintenance. Sanitation, income generation, and savings, child care, leadership, rights of women, etc

On the date of 20th November 2021, APAL inaugurated the Ulcer care unit and conducted the POD program at Kadam Rasul Leprosy Colony in Kishanganj, Bihar, and was inaugurated by Civil Surgeon Kisanganj, Dr. Srinandan Pd. C S Dr.Pd. for persons affected by leprosy who are facing trouble with leprosy-related ulcers and wounds

APAL’s state committee Jharkhand submitted a memorandum

On the date of 19th November 2021, On the date of 17th November 2021, APAL’s state committee Jharkhand submitted a memorandum to the Civil Surgeon by the Senior Correspondent, Jamshedpur Welfare Committee. Civil Surgeon Dr. AK Lal has ordered to organize disability camps in all ashrams. During this, other people including Mr. Zainuddin, Mr. Jawahar Ram Paswan, Mr. Vinod Kumar, Mr. Upendra Nath, Mr. Gaurav Kumar, Mr. Shyam Gop, Mr. Santosh Seth, Ms. Rita Singh, Ms. Rani Tigga, Ms. Sujata Bhavsagar, Ms. Anjali were presented

The disability check-up camp was organized by District Leprosy Welfare Committee. Dr. Alok Ranjan Mahato, present in the camp, made a certificate for 103 people who were disabled due to leprosy. The first camp was jointly inaugurated by Dr. Alok Ranjan Mahto, President of State Divyang Manch, Arun Kumar, and District Leprosy Consultant Dr. Rajiv Lochan Mahto. More than 2800 patients live in 21 leprosy ashrams of the district, out of which 385 have become disabled.

On the date of 19th November 2021, APAL successfully conducted the Inauguration program of the Dressing Unit (Room) Center in Nirmal Dham Leprosy Colony of Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh for persons affected by leprosy-who are facing trouble with leprosy-related ulcers and wounds

In this program, APAL’s CEO Mr. Venu Gopal, Mr. Sarang Gaydhane, NMA Mr. Dashrath Patel from Leprosy Department, NMA Mr. Ashok Pawar, NMA Mr. HR Sharma, NMA Mr. Munar Khan, Mr. Gopal Shinde from Sahyog Leprosy Colony, Dresser Ms. Mumtaz Shaikh, colony leader And all the people of the colony were presented

On the occasion, staff of the hospital, Mr. Lalbabu Singh, Md Jakir Hussain, Mr. Amar Abbas, etc have participated and provided dressing materials, medicines, and MCR Footwear

APAL conducted an Inauguration Program of dressing unit

On the date of 18th November 2021, APAL conducted an Inauguration Program of dressing unit in Shri Sadanand Mahadev Leprosy Dham Colony in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh for persons affected by leprosy who are facing trouble with ulcers and wounds

The unit was Inaugurated by DLO Dr. SK Akhand NMA DS from the leprosy department, Mr. Sarang Gayadhane, Anganwadi assistant Ms. Asha, councillor Mr. Ravi Rai cooperation from Leprosy Prevention Association Indore, Mr. Rajaram Malviya, Mr. Gopal Shinde, Ms. Rekha Bamnia Dressing Volunteer Mrs. Kanchan Bamnia Along with the colony leader and all the people of the colony were presented

The request of the APAL’s state committee Odisha, the health department of Odisha conducted the COVID-19 vaccination camp

On the date of 18th November 2021, at The request of the APAL’s state committee Odisha, the health department of Odisha conducted the COVID-19 vaccination camp at Saraswati colony /Indra colony /Lingaraj pally and Sadak Sahi -Baripada, Mayurbhanj, Odisha and vaccinated to persons affected by leprosy and their families
