On this occasion discussed how to detect leprosy in new cases by AASHA workers to go door to door. Leprosy champions Mr. Narsappa and Mr. Ramesh shared their successful testimony with the participants

On 10th June 2022, APAL’s dresser Mrs. Rekha Soni provides ulcer care services by SSOD(Soaking Scrubbing Oiling, and Dressing) to persons affected by leprosy who facing trouble with leprosy-related ulcers and wounds at Seetla Mata Kusht Dhaam Seva Samiti in Ratlam, Madhya Pradesh

On 7th June 2022, Mr. Prakash Done, President of the state committee Andhra Pradesh visited Prema Nagar Leprosy Colony at Bobbili, Andhra Pradesh

He interacted with the colony leaders and discussed the land issues of the colony. On the date of 6th June 2022, In collaboration with the Society of Rural Development, APAL’s state committee Telangana (SLAP-TS) distributed dressing materials and medicine for the general disease to persons affected by leprosy and their families at Shanthi Nagar and Santosh Nagar Leprosy colonies in Hyderabad, Telangana

Due to loss of sensation, the People Affected by Leprosy get ulcer wounds in their hands and feet. They require daily dressing of the ulcers to prevent bone infections and amputation of legs and fingers.

In collaboration with the Government, APAL’s state committee Bihar Persons with disabilities will get aid, the camp
On the date of 2nd June 2022, In collaboration with the Government, APAL’s state committee Bihar Persons with disabilities will get aid, the camp will be organized from 2nd June 2022 Motihari, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment will give aid to Persons with disabilities. For this, camps will be organized in all the sub-divisions from Monday. This work is being done under the ADIP scheme. The sub-divisional officers will be the nodal officers of their sub-divisions for the camp. DM Shirtesh Kapil Ashok has issued necessary instructions in this regard. asked to ensure its compliance. The implementation of the ADIP scheme is done in two phases.

In the first phase, after the registration of beneficiaries for suitable accessories is done through Common Service Center, testing is done by the team of ALMICO. After that, the equipment is distributed. To take advantage of the scheme, along with being an Indian citizen, it is necessary to have an Aadhar card, voter card, ration card, BPL card and driver’s license. Apart from this, a disability certificate of 40 percent or more will also have to be given. Beneficiaries will also have to bring two passport size photographs to the camp.

On 2nd June 2022, Mr. Umesh Nayak President of the APAL’s state committee Odisha visited SILF’s After School Learning Center at Durgapur Leprosy Colony and discussed with the Teachers and colony leaders the need for one more room for comfortable sitting for 64 children at that centre
