On 11th March 2023, APAL’s Joint- Secretary Mr. Ramavarai Sah was honoured as a Special International Guest at the grand celebration of “the 25th International Day of Dignity and Respect organized by IDEA Nepal and Nepal Leprosy Network

Over the arms of a Parliament Member of Nepal, Mr. Badri Pandey, Mr. Ramvarai got a dignity award and appreciation certificate for his unprecedented efforts in the elimination and eradication of Leprosy and its consequences in India through APAL.

APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with Mr. Ashish Shukla Manager (Communication) DPI, State Committee Maharashtra and Mr. Jitendra Maharashtra Kusht Nivaran Sanghatana visited Pune Leprosy Colony

On 9th March 2023, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with Mr. Ashish Shukla Manager (Communication) DPI, State Committee Maharashtra and Mr. Jitendra Maharashtra Kusht Nivaran Sanghatana visited Pune Leprosy Colony, Anandvan Leprosy Colony, and Pimpri Chinchwad Leprosy Colony

During this visit interacted with all inmates and colony leaders and discussed the infrastructure of the colony and gender equality and women empowerment.

APAL’s state committee Telangana along with the colony leaders and inmates of Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony met Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy Municipal Commissioner

On 9th March 2023, APAL’s state committee Telangana along with the colony leaders and inmates of Santosh Nagar Leprosy Colony met Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy Municipal Commissioner of Peddambarpet in Hyderabad and submitted a memorandum for the water pipelines and cancellation of water bills

APAL is thankful to Mr. Sathya Naryana Reddy for his positive response and assured us to do the needful and that he will visit the colony very soon. Special thanks to Mr. Ramesh State Coordinator of Telangana, Mr. Pullaiah Colony Leader, Mr. Ajeej, Mr. Pentaiah, and Mr. Amruth for their contribution to the memorandum submission.

She was honoured for her active services to persons affected by leprosy and their families who reside in the leprosy colonies over Chhattisgarh

On 6th March 2023, APAL’s President Mrs. Maya Ranavare along with the APAL’s state committee Maharashtra and Maharashtra Kusht Sanghatana met Mr. Ram Naik, a veteran Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party, who served as the 19th Governor of Uttar Pradesh

On this visit, APAL conveyed condolence for his loss and discussed the activities of the APAL in the leprosy fields

On 28th Feb 2023, APAL’s state committee in Haryana gathered all leprosy colony leaders and youth, conducted a meeting at Haryana Kusht Ashram in Ambala Cantt, Haryana discussed the land registrations and social entitlements

In this meeting, the members participated from the leprosy colonies of Gurgaon, Faridabad, Bahadur Garh, Rohtak, Dabwali, Kaithal, Ambala City, Ambala Cantt, Kurukshetra, Sonepat, Panipat

On 27th February 2023, with the support of Lepra society, APAL’s state committee Telangana distributed MCR Footwear to 50 persons affected by leprosy and lymphatic Filariasis at Shanthi Nagar Leprosy Colony in Hyderabad, Telangana

During the meeting explained the importance of using sanitizing pads instead of old clothes and teach girls also how to maintain properly and healthily
