The continued delays in detecting new patients and persisting discrimination against people affected by leprosy and lack of awareness of the transmission of leprosy, the reveal of the reality and myths of the disease of leprosy, APAL conducting awareness programs in Schools and Colleges
In this awareness Program, Mrs. Maya Ranavare President of APAL,, Dr. Deepak, Resource Person, and Dr. Nilima R. Bhore Dean & Principal Faculty of Nursing College explained the disease of leprosy and related problems physically and socially. Clinic Instructors Mrs. Sneha Latha Reddy, Mr. Sachin Sakate, Mr. Gaurav Awate, and Mrs. Swathi Kurane taught students the importance of awareness of the diseases and useful to all lives
105 Nursing Students actively participated and gave their feedback that “thanks for the awareness and we got knowledge on leprosy and got answers all questions which are inside us”.
