On 23rd March 2023, APAL supported with Sasakawa Health Foundation in association with Disabled Peoples’ International (DPI) and the National Centre for Promotion of Employment for Disabled People (NCPEDP) conducted an awareness program on leprosy at Chatrapati Shahu Institute of Business Education and Research (CSIRER College) in Kolhapur, Maharashtra

The continued delays in detecting new patients and persisting discrimination against people affected by leprosy and lack of awareness of the transmission of leprosy, the reveal of the reality and myths of the disease of leprosy, APAL conducting awareness programs in Schools and Colleges

In this program, Guest lecturer Dr. Deepak Mrs. Maya Ranavare President APAL, Mr. Prashant explained leprosy and related consequences. Mr. Dipak Bhosale Principal of the College and Mr. Rundive professor of the college explained to the students the importance of awareness of the disease of leprosy and 110 students participated.
